Russian President Vladimir Putin introduced a bill in the State Duma, which will ratify an agreement on creation of a single financial market between Russia and five countries -Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
The currency operations among the contracting parties will be made without their interim conversion into USD or EUR, Kommersant says.
The agreement was signed by 6 counties - Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan - during the summit of Heads of CIS Member States in Ashgabad in December 2012.
