Liqvor Pharmaceuticals is the first in Armenia to have received a Good Manufacturing Practice certificate, reports the press service of the Armenian Government.
During a meeting on Tuesday Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan congratulated the company's CEO Sergey Matevosyan on such an achievement.
The share of local drugs in Armenia has grown from 5-7% to 10% over the last 3-4 years. 17 companies have a license to produce drugs. Of them 5-6 export their products.
Two more companies, PharmaTech and Archimedes, are planning to switch to GMP this year.
