Paris terror attacks have become means of coercion to France, Manvel Sargsyan, Head of the Armenian Center for National and International Studies said at a discussion at the Center on Nov 20.
It is no secret that before the Paris attacks that killed over 120 people, France had warm relations with Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Sargsyan said. "These relations have been fundamentally reviewed. A similar transformation happened in the policy of Egypt after the terror attack over Sinai. All this shows that the modern-day terrorism is a method to coerce a country to change its policy," he said.
In this light, the analyst brought the example of Azerbaijan that has finally spoiled its relations with most of the Western countries, including the United States, after receiving new types of arms from Russia. Afterwards, Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov traveled to Baku and Yerevan with certain proposals over the Karabakh peace process.
