Escalation of the tension in Euromaidan is beneficial for Bankova Street in Kyiv and Smolensk Square in Moscow, Ukrainian politician and public figure Oleg Rybachuk said when replying to ArmInfo's question in his online interview.
"Bankova Street" is often used as a synonym of the Ukrainian power. As for Smolensk Square in Moscow, the building of the former USSR KGB (currently the RF Federal Security Service) is located in that square.
"Ukraine, which formally gained independence in 1991, is really upholding it now. The most odious representatives of the Ukrainian special forces, particularly, the Crimean Berkut forces are closely cooperating and being trained together with the Russian Alpha forces. There are numerous representatives of the Russian special services in the management of the Ukrainian special forces. The confrontation scenario aims to weaken the power in Ukraine and break up the country. The breakup scenario is obviously of a Russian origin", he stressed.
According to Rybachuk, most Ukrainian pro-power and opposition politicians realize that and this allows hoping for failure of this scenario. Meanwhile, neither President Yanukovich nor the opposition will benefit from this scenario. Therefore, the talks between the President and the opposition leaders are still going on.
