The April aggression against Nagorno Karabakh cost Azerbaijan's army 800 soldiers, according to Ostkraft Analytical Center's sources at the General Staff of Azerbaijan.
"Until later, Azerbaijan's losses in the course of the April 2-5 military actions in Nagorno Karabakh were estimated at about 180-200 people, of which 30 were security officers, as well as two helicopters, three tanks and two drones," the source reports.
However, the Center writes, there are secret data saying that, in fact, Azerbaijan suffered much more casualties which made it stop the aggression and return at a negotiating table.
By official data, the Armenian side suffered 92 casualties during the "four-day war." Baku reported 31 casualties and stopped providing any data on the death of its soldiers motivating it with "state secrecy."
According to unconfirmed data of Azerbaijani NGOs, Azerbaijan lost 93 soldiers. The financial losses of the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides totaled $170 million and $14 million, respectively, according to unofficial data.
