Bodies of the two killed Azerbaijani officers are still on the neutral territory on the line of contact of the Azerbaijani and Karabakh armed forces after Azerbaijan's latest sabotage, says Levon Melik-Shakhnazaryan, the Head of Voskanapat Analytical Center.
According to the Voskanapat Center, seven were killed and nearly 20-30 were wounded in Azerbaijan's sabotage, while the Azerbaijani party tries to conceal the real number of the killed and wounded. "The Azerbaijani authorities prefer misleading the people with false reasons of deaths of their soldiers not to speak of the aggression and its consequences," the expert said. He believes that Azerbaijan's regular subversive actions and provocations seek to reduce domestic political tension between the government and the opposition.
The expert says there is little probability that military actions will resume. The Armenian troops once again demonstrated their high combat efficiency and strong morale when rebuffing the enemy attacks. "Armenia does not yield to Azerbaijan either by quality or by quantity of arms," he says.
To recall, Azerbaijani subversive groups attempted to penetrate into the combat positions of the NKR Defense Army in the area of Jraberd, the northeast of contact line of the Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces, on Jan 19-20 night, according to the Arstakh Defense Ministry. The attempts of subversive action were prevented. Junior Sergeant Armen Hovhannissyan was killed in the crossfire. Hovhannissyan was posthumously awarded Medal For COurage.
