President of Turkey Recep Tayip Erdogan has urged his Russian and French colleagues to "recall the dark pages of their histories" before condemning the Armenian Genocide. 

The Turkish media report that Erdogan is down on Putin and Hollande's participation in the events arranged to the centennial of the Armenian Genocide. He has been particularly put out of temper by the fact that Putin has uttered the word "genocide" and Hollande has urged to recognize the Armenian Genocide.  "Neither Putin nor Hollande should have visited to Armenia. They should have thought of the dark pages of their own histories. Russia, France and Germany are the last ones that have the right to speak about a genocide", he said.   

The Turkish president has also criticized president of Germany Joachim Gauck who has characterized the mass killings of the Armenians as genocide. "Germany was the one to wage the two World Wars that have caused untold losses", he also denounced the EU for hypocrisy for the structure had recognized the Armenian Genocide. 

He also spoke of Turkey's readiness to open up the archives for historians to conduct researches on the fact.  "If Armenia also has archives, it should open them. Third countries should also open theirs if they have such. We are ready to openly discuss these facts", he said. 

To note, on April 24 Russian and French presidents attended the centennial commemoration ceremony held at Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex.
