The parliamentary opposition's proposal to carry out electoral reforms in Armenia may be implemented only after constitutional referendum, Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Eduard Sharamzanov said on Tuesday.
He explained that electoral laws should comply with constitutional requirements.
Sharmazanov wonders why the opposition is in such a rush to reform the electoral code: "When we suggested constitutional reforms, they said that what people needs is social-economic reforms. I wonder what has changed now?"
Sharmazanov urged the opposition to be less radical and more constructive: "Otherwise, they will not be able to achieve what they want."
