Armenian Parliament rejected the initiative of the four non-coalition forces to set up an ad hoc committee on application of speedometers to privates and legal entities in 2012-2013, as well as launch of paid parking lots, possible rise in public transport fare and penalties for the lack of motor third party liability insurance agreements with the owners of inoperative cars. Before the voting, Galust Sahakyan, Head of the Republican Party Faction, said the Faction will vote against the initiative.
"The four non-coalition forces has repeatedly raised the above issues, but the government has not given any solution to them," said Ruben Hakobyan, Head of Heritage Party Faction, introducing the bill. According to Hakobyan, the non- coalition parties seek to set up the ad hoc committee to study and find solutions to the problems of the citizens, including the launch of paid parking lots, possible rise in public transport fare and penalties for the lack of motor third party liability insurance agreements with the owners of inoperative cars.
"How long will they be taking taxes from the people. We are not hostages to some persons," he said.
