Committed to its social responsibility, VTB Bank (Armenia) keeps implementing charitable projects. One of such projects aims to support 9-year-old twin brothers Artak and Arsen with infantile cerebral palsy.
The press office of VTB Bank (Armenia) has told ArmInfo that the VTB employees' first meeting with the brothers took place in summer 2014 during the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the children's inclusive camp at the "Elen" recreation house in Stepanavan. After that the Bank responded to "Armenian Mothers" NGO Chairwoman Narine Manukyan's request to help the twin brothers. The brothers have undergone surgery at the "Arabkir" Joint Medical Centre-Institute of Child and Adolescent and are gradually integrating into full life. Throughout the recovery period, the Bank has been supporting the children and providing them with all essentials.
VTB Bank's benevolent activities focus on providing targeted assistance to the needy public strata, giving high priority to the children's institutions. Since 2012, VTB Bank (Armenia) has annually been providing support to the "Elen" recreation house in Stepanavan, overhauling the house for creation of the necessary camp infrastructure, improving the cottages and the site to facilitate the movement of the children with disabilities, and organizing concerts for the children. The bank employees also regularly participate in fundraising to support the children.
VTB Bank (Armenia) also organizes events for children with oncological diseases and holds festive events for the orphanage in Gavar. This year, on the occasion of the Children's Day, the Bank organized an event for the children with infantile cerebral palsy and for the kids from needy families at an entertainment center adjusted for disabled kids.
To recall, VTB Bank (Armenia) joined VTB Group in April 2004 and is fully owned by VTB Group, the second biggest bank in Russia. VTB Bank (Armenia) is one of the leaders of Armenia's banking sector. It has 67 branches all over the country (the largest branch network in Armenia).
