The 43-year-old Armenian Arthur Mirzoyan, who fired at the Turkish emblem at the Embassy of Turkey in Moscow, will wait for the court's verdict on his case for at least one month under arrest, according to Haberler.com.
Mirzoyan, who was taken to Moscow's Hamovnichesky court, confirmed his guilt. He said that he was ready to pay a fine of 500 thousand rubles and was not going to leave the Russian territory until the end of the investigation.
The suspect's lawyer G. Shatvoryan informed that the defendant is married, has two children, works and is not going to hide. "He didn't hide after committing crime and waited for the arrival of police. The mentioned crime allows the defendant to be released during the investigation of the case. That's why we want to have him released on bail. He presents no danger for the society. His action did not hurt people, my defendant had no intention of harming people," said Shatvoryan. In addition, Mirzoyan has a permission to wear arms.
Mirzoyan is Director General of Dobriy Les LLC. He fired at the emblem of the Turkish Embassy in Moscow on 18 August and was detained by the Police. The reason is his actions are not known.
