Levon Ter-Petrosyan's political team has seriously weakened. What they can do now is to ascribe achievements of others, Secretary of the Republican Party Faction in the Parliament Hovhanness Sahakyan told ArmInfo.
The first president of Armenia, leader of the Armenian National Congress Levon Ter-Petrosyan said in an interview that consultations of the four non-governmental parties had a big part in Tigran Sargsyan;s resignation from the post of the prime minister.
According to Sahakyan, Ter-Petrosyan acts like "an uninvited funeral guest." It is more than obvious, he said, that neither the Congress nor the four parties could influence on the prime minister's resignation.
"I think, there are two interesting moments in Ter-Petrosyan's interview. First, he is trying to handle the four non-governmental forces and dictate them the rules of the game. Look at least at his statement saying that any deal with the authorities will mean a political suicide for the four parties. Second, the first president has finally, and maybe unwittingly, recognized the farsightedness and wisdom of President Serzh Sargsyan, his weighted steps, including the choice of the integration project," Sahakyan said.
