During its Monday session the Armenian Parliament observed a minute of silence in the memory of the people killed during the last clashes in Ukraine.
It was the initiative of the head of the parliamentary group of the Armenian National Congress Levon Zurabyan. "By doing this we will express our protest against a regime using arms and violence against its own people," Zurabyan said.
Speaker of the Parliament Hovik Abrahamyan supported Zurabyan's initiative but suggested remembering the killed policemen too.
The Republicans joined the action but shortly afterwards their MP Margarit Yesayan asked Zurabyan why he didn't appear with a similar initiative when hundreds of Armenians were killed in Syria.
The leader of National Unity Party Artashes Geghamyan was even more radical: he accused Zurabyan of speculating on the tragedy of the brotherly Ukrainian people.
