In line with the Law On Regulations of the National Assembly, Orinats Yerkir Party (OYP) that has left the ruling coalition has officially announced itself as the opposition party.
Speaking at Parliament on 28 April, Head of OYP Faction Heghine Bisharyan said OYP is a parliamentary opposition.
Artur Baghdasaryan stepped down as Secretary of the National Security Council on 25 April. The OYP leader explained his decision with the fact that his left the ruling coalition on 16 April. Baghdasaryan called the ruling coalition ineffective, as one the coalition parties had no influence on the decision-making.
