Arpine Hovhannisyan, Head of the Ethics Commission of the Armenian Parliament, member of the Republican Party of Armenia faction, is one of the probable candidates for the justice minister's post, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan told journalists.
Abrahamyan gave no other names, noting that the issue is currently being discussed with President Serzh Sargsyan and will be settled within 10-15 days.
To recall, by Serzh Sargsyan's 14 July 2015 decree, Hovhannes Manukyan has been dismissed from the justice minister's post. No reasons or details have been reported. The media and various analysts consider that resignation in the light of constitutional reforms, given that before the referendum the ministerial portfolios are being taken from the ARFD.
Another version suggested that Hovhannes Manukyan was insulted because he was not included in the special commission for constitutional reforms.
