Analyst: "Empire of Evil," Russia, has failed to lead Ukraine to casus belli

 Russia has failed to lead Ukraine to casus belli. This has become a real failure of Moscow's policy with regards to the new leadership in Kyev, Director of the 
Accord Research Center, ex-head of the National Security Service of Armenia, David Shakhnazaryan, told reporters, Tuesday.

"All the latest actions of the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin were an open provocation pursuing a goal to make the new authorities in Kyev flare up and start open armed protection of Ukraine's territorial integrity. Fortunately, the new government refrains from use of force not to face the South-Ossetic scenario. All this mixes Moscow's cards. I think, the situation will be cleared up finally within the coming 72 hours," he said. According to Shakhanazaryan, by its 
current actions in the Crimea, Moscow is trying to repeat the aggression against Georgia of August 2008. He qualified Russia's actions as aggression. He thinks Russia runs contrary to the international law and its commitments under international treaties. Shakhnazaryan believes that such aggressive actions initiated personally by President Putin will bring nothing good to Russia. "Look at the Monday slump of indices of the leading Russian companies and ruble crash," he said.

"All this demonstrates that the market is now in fever after the actual start of freezing of the Russian elite's western accounts. Putin is now trying to turn Russia against the entire world and the world order, which cannot have a good ending for that country. In the West they do not see that Putin's Russia has turned into another 'Empire of Evil' similar to the USSR under Brezhnev and even worse and unpredictable. The West is afraid of two things today: lunacy of 
Putin, who, as the German chancellor says, has lost the sense of reality, and Russia's nuclear warheads," the analyst said advising reporters to draw conclusions.
