Armen Sargsyan, the younger brother of Armenia's prime minister Vazgen Sargsyan killed during the act of terrorism in Armenian Parliament in 1999, has been appointed Advisor to Armenian Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan. Artsrun Hovhannisyan, Spokesman for the Defence Minister, has confirmed this information to ArmInfo.
According to Hovhannisyan, Armen Sargsyan will tackle issues related to the Artsakh war veterans. To note, Armen Sargsyan was sentenced to 15 years in jail on charge of assassination of Chairman of the Public TV Council Tigran Naghdalyan. In 2008 Armen Sargsyan was discharged on parole upon President Serzh Sargsyan's petition.
