Heritage Party leadership will not attend the March 1 rally of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), Ruben Hakobyan, Head of the Heritage Party Faction, said at the February 27 briefing in the Parliament. He said Raffi Hovannisian and the members of the Heritage Party Board will travel to Tavush region on March 1 to meet with the residents of the near border communities.
"All the other members of our party are free to attend the ANC rally in case of desire," Hakobyan said.
Asked why they are going to travel to the Tavush region on March 1 - on the day of the opposition parties - Hakobyan said that meetings in Tavush were programmed beforehand and there is no subtext in it.
As for the Heritage's presence at the meeting of the Prosperous Armenia Party Congress on March 5, Hakobyan said they have received no invitation to it.
Earlier on February 20, Raffi Hovhannisian told reporters in the Liberty Square that there is no longer "opposition three." He slammed the decision to cancel the Feb 20 rally of the "opposition three."
