Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has accepted the Government's resignation, the presidential press service reports.
By the President's decree, the members of the Government will continue performing their duties until the new Cabinet is formed.
To note, on April 3 Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan resigned. According to the Constitution, the President shall appoint a new prime minister within 10 days.
At the moment the media outlets name a few possible candidates for prime minister, namely, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, Head of the President's Administration Vigen Sargsyan, and Leader of the Orinats Yerkir Party, Secretary of the National Security Council Artur Baghdasaryan. According to ArmInfo's sources among the authorities, Seyran Ohanyan is most likely to become the prime minister.
