ArmInfo. The government, which in 2018 celebrated, praised and encouraged some members of the  peacekeeping brigade to take to the streets and join the political march, is now saying that such behavior will not be tolerated, Tigran Abrahamyan, of the opposition faction With Honor stated as he  commented on the information that the Investigative Committee of  Armenia initiated criminal proceedings on the fact that military  personnel joined the protesters on the Kirants-Voskepar road.

"Against the backdrop of greetings and words of support from the  military personnel, the Ministry of Defense informed the people that  the military police are taking measures to identify persons in  military uniform who joined the "political action."

The government, which in 2018 celebrated, praised and encouraged some  soldiers of the peacekeeping brigade to take to the streets and join  the political march, is now saying it is unacceptable.

And this is the case when in 2018 the struggle was for the seat,  power and, as it turned out after a short time, the transfer of  Artsakh and concessions of various territories to Armenia. And today  people literally took to the streets to protect their families and  homes.

Another circumstance: the servicemen who were seen in the footage  yesterday were clearly not on duty at that moment; they warmly  greeted people and left.

And in 2018, the military personnel who took to the streets did not  just greet and leave, but actually participated in an anti-government  protest march," Abrahamyan recalled on his Facebook page.

The Investigative Committee of Armenia initiated criminal proceedings  on the grounds of paragraphs 1 and 2 of Part 2 of Art. 529 of the  Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia and clauses 1 and 2 of Part  2 of Art. 46-529 of the RA Criminal Code amid reports that about two  dozen military personnel came to the Voskepar-Kirants road to express  support for citizens trying to defend their right to live safely in  their homes.
