Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Hovik Abrahamyan suggests holding parliamentary hearings on issues related to penalties for violation of traffic rules, launch of paid parking lots, possible rise in public transport fare and penalties for the lack of motor third party liability insurance agreements with the owners of inoperative cars.
At the March 24 sitting at the Armenian Parliament, Abrahamyan called on the non-coalition forces not to insist on setting up an interim parliamentary commission, but to support the idea to hold hearings and guarantee the presence of responsible persons at the hearings. "We'll distribute all the issues among the deputies, send them to all the authorized structures and organize the hearings. We'll invite everybody and attentively listen to his or her opinion. We'll hold the hearings within two days if necessary", he said. He added that the format he suggests will be much more effective and will allow avoiding political assessments.
