One should never rule out possible resumption of military actions in Nagorno-Karabakh, however, it is low probable in the foreseeable future, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said at today's meeting at the Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. According to Sargsyan, the combat readiness of the Armenian armed forces is quite high. This is proved by the fact that a common Armenian detachment consisting of 9 soldiers defeated Azerbaijani special operations detachment which was three or four times as big as the Armenian detachment.
Sargsyan added that the combat positions of the Armenian armed forces are also equipped better and one can make sure of it by visiting the forefront. "Over the past few years we have done immense work to strengthen our defensive constructions, every common soldier knows his stuff today. Moreover, we are also increasing and upgrading our armory, military supply depot and equipment. We lag behind no one. Certainly, our funds invested in defense are not billions, but I assure you that we are not short of arms. We obviously want no war, but if they impose it on us, we'll have no other way out. Nevertheless, we will do everything possible to resolve the problem peacefully", said the President.
