Opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan and Nagorno-Karabakh war veteran Sasun Mikaelyan are planning to organize a public action to remember the victims of the March 2008 events.
On his Facebook page Pashinyan says that on Mar 1-2 2014 night Mikaelyan and he are going to visit the place where they spent the night of Mar 1-2 2008, that is, the Myasnikyan Monument.
"By doing this we will pay tribute to the memory of those killed during the events and will confirm our commitment to continue our fight for the values of March 1 2008," Pashinyan says.
To remind, actions of protest that followed the election of Serzh Sargsyan as President in 2008 ended in public disorders and clashes with the police. 10 people were killed, almost 200 wounded.
