Several activists of the Armenian National Congress were taken to a police station on Wednesday around 6 pm, activist Areg Gevorgyan says on his Facebook page. He was also taken to the Kentron Police Department.
The activists were distributing leaflets in Saryan Street. The leaflets announced the ANC rally scheduled for March 1.
The press service of the Armenian Police has told ArmInfo's correspondent that 12 people have been detained "on suspicion of hooliganism" and that they are currently at the police station. The circumstances are being found out.
