Armenia's participation in integration processes in the post-Soviet area is based on the priorities in the national security and economic development, Sergey Minasyan, Deputy Director at Caucasus Institute, speaking in the course of a TV Bridge "Eurasian Choice - 2014."
"Armenia is a country that fundamentally insists on its stance. Over the last 20 years of its independence Armenia unlike some of its neighbors has been committed to one exact stance in the foreign policy and in the integration projects i.e. Armenia has always tried to combine the interests and stances of its partners, colleagues, allies and not play on their contradictions," the political expert said.
According to him, development of the relations with Russia, especially in the military-political field, has always been a priority for Armenia. Armenia's decision to access the Customs Union and the Eurasian Union in future, is a logical choice based on the security and economic development priorities. Nevertheless, Armenia will continue to cooperate with European countries and the USA as intensively as possible, he said.
