The construction activities which started in Darbas village of Syunik region half a year ago have now been completed. The dream of the Karapetyan brothers is fulfilled: the family celebrates housewarming. VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian and "Fuller Center for Housing Armenia" President Ashot Yeghiazaryan participated in the house blessing ceremony sharing the happiness of the Karapetyan family, VivaCell-MTS press-office reports.
Vrezh Karapetyan and his two brothers lost their parents when they were children. After the death of their grandparents, the brothers could rely only on themselves. For years they had been living in an earthen two-room house without a kitchen and a bathroom. Yet, the brothers never gave up on their dream and continued the construction of the half-built house inherited from their parents believing that one day they will have a decent house.
"It is hard to describe what I feel now. This house has become a real stronghold for us. Even in my bravest dreams, I could not imagine that we would have such a beautiful home. On behalf of my brothers and me I express our deepest gratitude for turning the seemingly unrealizable dream into reality," said the eldest of Karapetyan brothers, Vrezh.
In the frames of the housing project, the partnering organizations have completed the construction of the half-built house as well as installed a heating system. Owing to VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian's personal initiative, the house of the Karapetyan family has been furnished and replenished with necessary household appliances.
"I can't talk about these brothers without expressing my admiration to them. Meeting them for the first time and reading the motto written on the wall of their half-built house - "Fortune favors the brave" - filled me with great respect towards these remarkable young people. All the hardships they have been through have made them more determined, robust and persevering. I am glad and proud that we have managed to pass more confidence in the future through our support," said VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.
"I want to stress that this project stands out from hundreds of others. The construction of a house for Karapetyan brothers was truly rewarding. The efforts, the enthusiasm and the seriousness with which the three brothers undertook the construction of their house is promising. Months ago it was still a half constructed building and now it has become a real home for the brothers who are about to enter adulthood, but who have already seen so much for their young age," said Ashot Yeghiazaryan, "Fuller Center for Housing Armenia" President. Till date, VivaCell-MTS has contributed more than 228.3 million drams for the basic reconstruction or renovation of houses thus improving the life quality of 480 people with social needs in 10 regions of the country, including 31 villages, of which 10 are borderland villages.
