The road map on Armenia's joining the Customs Union is prepared, Armenia's Economy Minister, Vahran Avanesyan, said on 10 December.
As RFE/RL Armenian service reported, the minister also added that this road map will be discussed in the coming days among the experts from four countries: the Russian Federation (RF), Belarus, Kazakhstan and Armenia.
As it was earlier informed, the road map will be signed at the session of the Eurasian Integration union, on 24 December, in Moscow, a source from the Russian delegation that accompanied Russian President Vladimir Putin during his trip to Armenia, RIA Novosti reported.
Following the talks that were held on September 3 in Moscow between Armenian and Russian Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin, Sargsyan had announced that Armenia plans to join the Customs Union and subsequently engage in the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union. Aside from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan likewise are members in the Customs Union.
Before that, since 2010 Armenia has been negotiating on signing the Association Agreement and DCFTA with the EU.
