HIGH FEST International Performing Arts Festival will be held on 1-8 October in Yerevan.
Like over the previous years, the HIGH FEST International Performing Arts Festival welcomes performing arts companies and artists to present their productions in all genres of performing arts including theatre (drama, comedy, mime, movement, circus, street performances, puppet/marionette, fingers theatre, visual), dance (modern, folk, classic etc.), music (opera, classical, musical, contemporary, jazz, folk etc) and other forms of performing arts.
Two Programmes will be held in the framework of the Festival: International Programme of Puppet and Children Performances; ARMS FEST - Armenian International Student and Youth Programme.
As president of the festival Artur Gukasyan told Arminfo correspondent, more than 20 theatre companies from 18 countries of the world will take part in the festival this year.
The joint Armenian-American project - staging of a performance "Water by the Spoonful" will become an interesting peculiarity of the festival. In 2012 the performance was awarded the Pulitzer Prize.
HighFest will continue the tradition of several last years and will present staging of the Iranian theatres, he said and added that this year the Russian programme will be also well performed at the festival.
As for the Armenian programme, several first night staging will be performed, including Vahan Badalyan's Armenian-British project, in which individuals with disabilities take part.
To recall, 25 theatre companies from 18 countries of the world took part in the High Fest in 2013.
