Foreign Ministers of Russia and France, Sergey Lavrov and Jean-Marc Ayrault will meet on April 19 to discuss the bilateral trade and economic relations of the two countries, the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, the anti-terrorist efforts, and the situation in Ukraine. The French minister is on a working visit to Moscow these days.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry press-office, the sides will dwell upon the cooperation to fight terrorism, and discuss "the main crises, notably in Syria, Libya and Ukraine, as well as the tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh."
"In the light of the recent outburst of violence in Nagorno Karabakh, the two ministers will discuss further steps the foreign ministries of the two OSCE Minsk Group co-chair-states need to coordinate," TASS reports citing the Foreign Ministry of Russia. The ministers will "compare notes" on agenda of the UN Security Council where permanent members France and Russia are closely cooperating.
