The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is currently negotiating for repatriation of the body of Karen Petrosyan, a 31-year-old resident of Chinari village, Armenia, who died in Azeri captivity.
According to ICRC Yerevan Office rep Zara Amatuni, there is no meaningful progress in the issue yet. Karen Petrosyan died in Azerbaijan's captivity from what official Baku qualifies as acute cardiovascular deficiency. However, the Armenian party is disposed to think that the man died for tortures and inhumane treatment. According to unofficial data, Petrosyan crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani border while drunk.
