The protest action in front of the Public Services Regulatory Commission building in Yerevan, against possible raising of electricity tariff in Armenia is gradually turning into a "fight" between activists and policemen. As Arminfo correspondent reported, the situation is getting more intense. The policemen cordoned off Saryan street, broke activists to small groups and started "keeping a crowd back".
The protestors want to attend the aforesaid commission's session, during which the electricity price hike issue will be discussed.
The policemen felt that they did not manage to control the situation and started detaining activists and taking them to the police department.
At present, policemen encircled activists which were trying to get out of cordon. Representatives of political forces were trying to calm down activists as well as policemen.
