Germany will do its best to prolong Armenia's membership in the Eastern Partnership program, German Ambassador Reiner Morell said on Friday, while opening the repaired building of the Embassy of Germany in Armenia.
He said that even though the repairs lasted for almost two years, the Embassy never stopped its work.
The Ambassador noted that the key goal of the repairs was to ensure the building's seismic safety.
Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan said that Armenian-German relations are quite effective and thanked Germany for supporting Armenia's economy, science and education.
Some 3.2mln EUR has been spent on the repairs of the German Embassy. The work has been done by German and Armenian companies. The repaired building will have a new, more comfortable lobby and a special window for disabled people.
