The last rally by the Armenian National Congress (on 1 March) was the most unsuccessful in the history of the Congress. And it is simply silly saying that the authorities are frightened, said Galust Sahakyan, Deputy Head of the RPA, Head of the RPA Faction in the Parliament.
Sahakyan thinks the ANC just sought to gather people, make loud speeches and send them home. "It is a provocation. One should not strain public confidence within its interests," Sahakyan said.
The only clear message of ANC Leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan was that he welcomes Armenia's accession to the Customs Union. He declared at the rally that the accession to the CU is an inevitable process and to gain maximum benefits Armenia needs wise leadership. Ter-Petrosyan thinks that Serzh Sargsyan does meet such criterion.
Meanwhile, Galust Sahakyan recommended the opposition to work instead of making loud statements.
