Ameriabank has been announced the laureate of the Bank of the Year award. According to The Banker Awards, Ameriabank has been recognized the Best Bank of Armenia 2013. Ameriabank told ArmInfo the awarding ceremony was held in London on 28 November where Ameriabank leadership was awarded with a winner's certificate and statue of Brandon Bracken, the founder of the Banker magazine. This time the competition involved 483 companies from 143 countries.
The organizers say that pursuing its strategic goals Ameriabank has significantly intensified its activities in the financial market as a universal bank and become the leading financial structure in Armenia.
In 2012 the bank's profits grew 48.9% to $14.9 mln. Furthermore, the bank managed to reduce non- performing assets, expand into the retail banking market through introduction of new information technologies and upgrading of the service quality. The bank laid the emphasis of the SME finance, development of card products, and use of new and promising approaches.
