Foreign Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu will be welcomed with protests in Yerevan, the Student Union "Sargis Tkhruni" of the Hnchakyan Social Democratic Party announced in a statement.
The Union declares that before Davutoglu's arrival in Yerevan, the Turkish propaganda machine has already disseminated rumors that Davutoglu will touch upon the Artsakh problem, and offer transferring the liberated territories to Azerbaijan in exchange for opening of the Armenian-Turkish border.
"Considering that Davutoglu is one of the ideologists of the anti-Armenian movement and the foreign ministry of the country denying the Armenian Genocide, the Student Union 'Sargis Tkhruni' demands the authorities of Armenia:
1. Not to receive Davutoglu at the government level
2. Not to allow Davutoglu to use Yerevan as a tribune for his anti-Armenian speeches
3. To recall the Armenian Genocide, the Treaty of Sevres and the fact that today's Turkey is located on the Armenian lands.
It was Ankara that torpedoed Turkey's policy of 'zero problems with neighbors.' We urge the Armenian youth to unite as a sign of protest against the anti-Armenian policy of Turkey," the Union says in the statement.
To recall, Davutoglu will arrive in Yerevan on 12 December to attend the meeting of the BSEC Foreign Ministers.
