The newly-appointed Health Minister of the Nagorno- Karabakh Republic (NKR), Harutyun Kushkyan, has left the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), PAP Spokesman Tigran Urikhanyan told ArmInfo's correspondent.
He said that Kushkyan received the prior consent of PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan before taking that office. Urikhanyan thinks that the issue should not be politicized. "Harutyun Kushkyan can be very helpful to the NKR's healthcare sector", said Urikhanyan.
To note, Harutyun Kushkyan was Armenia's Health Minister in 2007-2012 when being a member of the PAP, which was then a part of the ruling coalition. Kushkyan stepped down as minister when the PAP left the ruling coalition.
