Son of an Armenian MP from ruling Republican Party of Armenia interrogated

 Makar Petrosyan, the son of the Republican MP Aleksan Petrosyan, was invited to the police station on September 10. 

The press service of the Armenian Police told ArmInfo that Petrosyan was interrogated as a witness in the case on beating of the election agent of one of the candidates running in the local elections in Bambakashat village.  

To note, Arman Sargsyan, the election agent of Varuzhan Vardanyan, one of the candidates, was hospitalized following the Sept 9 scuffle in Bambakashat village of Armavir region where the residents were electing members of the local council.  According to the media reports, Arman Sargsyan was beaten by the son of Republican MP Aleksan Petrosyan, Makar Petrosyan, and his friends. Petrosyan himself said that his upbringing does not allow him to solve problems
by use of force.
