Armenia should think not only how to attract direct foreign investments but also how to stimulate the domestic investments, Prof. Tatoul Manaseryan, the head and founder of the Alternative Analytical Center, said when presenting the Road Map on Economic Growth and Human Capital Development.
"No one will care for us until the Armenian businessmen and Armenian consumers show interest in their own economy", said Manaseryan. He pointed out that each of us should invest in development of our Motherland's economy and should not expect the state or foreign businessmen to make any steps. He added that the population of the country should be involved in the national economy development through creation of a favorable business climate. "We should be more critical to the national economy and fight the monopolies. This way we'll deserve confidence and attract economic growth-oriented investments rather than politically charged ones", he said.
