Members of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia have already expressed their stance on the statement by the second president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan. Therefore, there is no need to return to the issue, Eduard Sharmazanov, RPA Spokesperson, Vice Speaker of the Armenian Parliament, said at the meeting of the RPA Executive Body.
"We have expressed our viewpoint. I also expressed my stance as the spokesperson of the Party. The same did the prime minister as the deputy head of the party, as well as the ministers and other party-men. So, I think there is no need to return to that issue," the vice speaker said.
As regards the tension on the border, particularly, intensive provocations and ceasefire breaches by Azerbaijan, Sharmazanov said that the defense minister has reported to the Government on the situation. Sharmazanov reiterated Armenia's position on the Karabakh conflict highlighting that the conflict must be resolved via peaceful negotiations and calling inadmissible any subversive actions or armed conflict.
