Even after two latest statements made by the Co- Chairs last month, Azerbaijan continues to crudely violate ceasefire on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and on the Line of Contact of Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian emphasized this during a meeting with the Co-Chairs of OSCE Minsk Group (Ambassadors Igor Popov of the Russian Federation, Pierre Andre of France, and James Warlick of the United States of America). The sides continued to discuss the progress in the process negotiations for the peaceful settlement of the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict.
Nalbandian directed the Co-Chairs attention to the fact that Azerbaijan's provocations on the border are accompanied by militaristic statements and threats on the highest level in Baku, as well as agitation of enmity and hatred. "Azerbaijan's rejection of the target proposal for creating mechanisms to held the incidents investigation, testifies to the fact that Baku wants to fail OSCE Minsk Group's and Armenia's efforts aimed at peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict", Nalbandian said. To note, today Minsk Group Co-Chairs arrived in Yerevan as the first destination of their visit to the region. On October 27 the Co-Chairs will visit Karabakh where they will hold a meeting with the NKR authorities. After that the Co-Chairs will participate in the monitoring of the Line of Contact of troops and will cross the Line of Contact from the NKR side to Azerbaijan's territory. On October 28 the Co-Chairs will meet the Azerbaijani leaders in Baku. The main goal of the discussions is to reduce the tensions in the zone of the Karabakh conflict and organize a meeting of Armenia's and Azerbaijan's President by the end of the current year.
