Only the introduction of monitoring mechanisms along the line of contact of the Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops can stop the sluggish war in Nagorno-Karabakh, Alexander Krylov, senior specialist at the Institute of World Economy and International Relations, said at the Caucasus-2015 international conference in Yerevan.
"After the April aggression, the need to clearly reveal the initiator of ceasefire violations, which very often result in fatalities, has become more urgent. The party that violates the ceasefire must be severely and immediately punished, be it Armenia or Azerbaijan. Otherwise, the animosity will be intensifying," he said.
In this light, Krylov stressed the acute need to qualitatively improve the activities of the Armenian Foreign Ministry. At the same time, he said that the diverse activities of the Azerbaijani diplomats are not obviously limited to the oil dollar bribery of experts, who display a pro-Azerbaijani stand.
When commenting on the work of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Embassies in Russia, Krylov said that "singer, composer and actor Polad Bulbuloglu is doing fabulous work" not only among his Russian colleagues, but also in all public strata, especially, among the authorities. Against this background, the activity of the Armenian Embassy in Russia is invisible, to put it mildly. It is necessary to pay much attention to the work with the Russian authorities and the society," he said.
