The parliaments of Armenia and Canada have signed a joint declaration to boost the bilateral cooperation and dialogue. The document was signed during the visit of the Armenian parliamentary delegation to Canada, Hovhaness Sahakyan, the head of the Armenian Parliament Committee for State and Legal Affairs, the head of the Armenia-Canada Parliamentary Friendship Group, told ArmInfo from Ottawa.
"It is a result of years-long work. Our countries have strong ties. There is an influential Armenian community in Canada," Sahakyan said. He is sure that declaration will help promote the bilateral cooperation in various fields.
In this light, Sahakyan said he is keen to achieve signing of similar declaration with the parliaments of the parliamentary friendship groups with Poland and Croatia, which he is the head of.
