The statistics indices submitted by prime minister of Armenia are evidence of an extremely hard social and economic situation formed in Armenia. However, the premier did not say that such a situation was formed as the current government could not fulfill all its numerous obligations, a member of the parliament from the opposition Armenian National Congress faction, Nikol Pashinyan, said in the parliament today.
He also added that one must not seriously treat new promises of the executive power, as the previous ones have not been fulfilled. He recalled President Serzh Sargsyan's statement made on 18 March 2013 that the government should resign if it does not provide 7% economic growth in the country. "The government planned to ensure 5,8% growth in state budget 2014", - he said and added that he voted against the draft law "On state budget 2014".
In the final version of the state budget, revenues will total 1.136 trillion AMD, expenditures - 1.246 billion AMD, deficit - 110.5 bln AMD. In 2014 GDP growth is expected to make up 5.2%, annual inflation - 4.5% and gross deflator index - 4.2%. The share of budget deficit in the GDP is expected to be 2.3%, and that of the current deficit - 8.4%. As compared with 2013, budget revenues will rise by 9.8%. The share of taxes and dues in revenues will be the biggest - 96.28%.
