"The "image saving" show by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip
Erdogan in Baku has finally taken Ankara out of the regional processes", -
press-secretary of Armenia's president, Arman Saghatelyan twitted.
Within the frames of his visit to Baku, Turkey's new
president Erdogan said that Ankara will raise the Karabakh issue at the NATO
summit. Earlier he
said that Ankara and Baku by joint efforts will struggle against international
recognition of the Armenian genocide.
The NATO
summit will be held on 4-5 September in Newport, Wales. The meeting of
presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan is expected within the frames of the
summit to discuss the Karabakh issue. However, diplomatic sources of ArmInfo
think that discussion of the Karabakh issue is hardly possible within the
frames of the summit, as special attention will be paid at the crisis in
Ukraine. Nevertheless, they do not rule
out that the Karabakh issue will be reflected in the final resolution of the
summit.
