The population of the village of Yeraskh, located in Ararat region near the border of Nakhichevan, is being evacuated, one of the villagers informed ArmInfo on Thursday.
But later Head of Yeraskh Radik Oghikyan refuted that information. He said that there was no panic among the villagers, nor were there any plans to evacuate the people.
"The Azeris fired at the village today but for now the fire has been stopped and there is no ground for concern," Oghikyan said. Spokesman of Armenia's Defense Minister Artsrun Hovhannisyan has also refuted the reports. He said that the Armenian army is keeping the situation under control and is ready to prevent any attacks.
To remind, Armenian serviceman Andranik Yeghoyan was killed as a result of one such attack earlier in the day.
