On April 24, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received a US delegation led by Ed Royce, US House Committee on Foreign Affairs. The delegation included US House Representatives Eliot Engel (D-NY), David Cicilline (D- RI), and Lois Frankel (D-FL).
The press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry reports that Nalbandian stressed the significance of the US Congressmen's efforts in the process of international recognition of the Armenian Genocide. He pointed out that their visit to Armenia on the 99th mourning anniversary of the first genocide in XX century is symbolic. The sides stressed that the Armenian-US relations are at a high level and that mutual confidence is the pledge of further expansion of cooperation.
Nalbandian touched on Armenia's foreign political priorities and approaches to settlement of the regional and international problems, as well as the joint efforts of Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group in the Karabakh peace process.
