Most of Internet users in Armenia are Beeline subscribers.
According to the survey conducted by the Noy-Firm production cooperative at the request of Internet Community NGO, 24% of the Internet users throughout Armenia use wired Internet services of Beeline and 12% use the wireless Internet of Beeline. VivaCell-MTS comes in at the second place in terms of Internet services (wireless internet access). It covers 21.1% of the market of Internet services. Orange Armenia is the third - it covers 19.3% of the market. The following internet providers rank next: Ucom - 10.8%, Arminco - 10.5%, Web - 7.7%, NetSys - 6.2%, Cross Net - 5.7%, Fast Net - 5.6%, and others - 3.8%.
The major part of the subscribers in Armenia (47.9%) use 1-4 Mb/s of internet connection speed, 21% prefer 8.1-16 Mb/s., 14.9% - 16.1-24 Mb/s., 14.3% - 4.1-8 Mb/s. In the meantime, the survey demonstrates that most of the subscribers (48.9%) use 1.1-10 GB of internet traffic monthly, 20.2% - 10-100 GB monthly, 16.1% - 501-1000 MB monthly, 8.6% - 1-500 MB monthly, 4.8% use internet traffic ranging from 100.1 GB to 1.0 TB.
32.7% of users in Armenia connect to the Internet via IDSL, 21.5% use the 3G/4G wireless network, 21.1% use an optical cable, 17.6% prefer WiFi, 8.2% use the internet services provided jointly with cable television, 4.4% use dial-up Internet, and 2.4% connect to the Internet via the local network.
The survey has also demonstrated that most of the users in Armenia (32.9%) spend 3-6 hours daily on the Internet, 27.1% - more than 6 hours daily, 23.1% - 1-3 hours daily, and 16.1% - no more than 1 hour daily.
The survey was conducted in 12 administrative districts of Yerevan and in 10 marzes of Armenia.
