The Armenian Police released the Red Card initiative group activists, who were detained on Nov 30 evening when trying to block Baghramyan Avenue. A criminal case on administrative violation has been instituted against the activists.
To note, the Red Card representatives demanded that the authorities should reduce the prices of gas, electric power, sugar and petroleum by November 30. Otherwise, they threatened to block the Baghramyan Avenue.
On Nov 30, the activists marched towards the center of Yerevan, chanting slogans demanding resignation of the President and reduction in prices. They tried to block Baghramyan Avenue and the law-enforcers detained six people, including the march initiators Paylak Tevanyan, Varazdat Barseghyan and Sevak Manukyan.
The activists stayed at the Central Department of Yerevan Police for three hours and then were set free.
