Teghut honey becomes popular

The Lets Save of Teghut group's initiative to sell honey from Teghut has proved to be a success.
Activist Mariam Sukhudyan says that over 100 liters have been sold since the beginning of the campaign.
The suppliers are residents of Shnogh and Teghut, the villages neighboring on the Teghut copper and molybdenum deposit.
"We are also helping them to sell nuts, walnuts, grapes and rose hips. Our goal is to show that agriculture can be a good alternative to mining in Teghut," Sukhudyan said, adding that shortly they are going to launch www.market.teghut.am, a web-site where one will be able to order agricultural products from Teghut and to see the photos of local residents and their land.
