In Jan-Aug 2015 versus Jan-Aug 2014, the brandy output in Armenia dropped by 10.7% to 8 873 thsd liters, the National Statistical Service of Armenia reports. In August alone, the brandy output dropped by 12% to 1 133 thsd liters. The key sales market for Armenian brandy is Russia and the CIS.
In Jan-Aug 2015, the wine output rose by 7.8% to 3 485.2 thsd liters (up 42.6% to 471.5 thsd liters in August), champagne output was up 6.6% to 225 thsd liters (down 28% to 27.3 thsd liters in August alone), vodka and liquor output dropped by 6% to 5 590.8 thsd liters (down 2.5% to 609.3 thsd liters in August alone), and beer output fell by 12.4% to 16 139.3 thsd liters (down 24.3% to 2 761.9 thsd liters in August alone).
